Day seven - a prayer of surrender

Prayer of Surrender

Beloved God,
I rest my soul in your presence.
I loosen my grip on control, on certainty, on the need to be right.

I bring to you the parts of me that struggle, the parts that ache, the parts that cling.
I place them gently in your care.

Lead my soul beyond striving, beyond fear, into the quiet of who I already am in you.

I do not resist what is, nor cling to what was.
I give over, trusting the work that only you can do.

Let my soul be shaped by your love,
and by the grace that moves silently within me.

In surrender I see more clearly who you’ve created me to be.
Help me live authentically and honour the light you have placed within me.

Amen.

Todays question for reflection (please add any comments, questions, and dialogue with others below in the comments):

When you breathe and relax into the present, which aspects of yourself want to be acknowledged?
